ADMISSION PROCEDURE

The ALEA SCHOOL team is there for you during the admission process to answer your questions. We will help you and your child get off to a successful start at the new school.

The first step is to submit a written application and the two most recent certificates via the application form at www.alea.school/en/registration. . After an initial assessment, the applicants are invited to a possible second step, an introductory day. This is followed by admissions interviews with the applicant children and their parents. The final step is to submit a confirmation of performance in the form of the half-year report in February 2025. The final decision is then made.

In its holistic approach, ALEA SCHOOL takes into account the applicant’s previous academic achievements as well as, for example, voluntary work, pronounced artistic/musical/academic leisure activities, family background – and of course the persuasiveness of the application itself in its admission decision. Particular emphasis will be given to the top notes (work and social behavior).

Registrations for the 2025/2026 school year are now open (until 12.12.2024).

It may happen that the ALEA SCHOOL receives more applications than places available. In this case, pupils can be placed on a waiting list. Enrollment in the ALEA SCHOOL at a later date is therefore possible.

Example: A student starts 5th grade in Korea in March. If he applies to ALEA SCHOOL for the new school year, he will usually be enrolled in grade 5. The only exception: The new student is more than three months older than most students in grade 5. In this case, grade 6 is considered.

Scholarship framework conditions

In principle, anyone can apply for a scholarship. The award committee will take various criteria into account when selecting the scholarship holders: First and foremost, the economic eligibility of an applicant family. This is based on the average household income (approx. €70,000) in the Main-Kinzig district and the applicant confirms that they have a lower household income. Voluntary commitment, special achievements or a particularly convincing application are also taken into account.

When applying for a scholarship, applicants must provide basic information, a letter of motivation and a letter of recommendation from a (class) teacher. After submission, the awarding committee will review the application and contact the applicants regarding the next steps.

At the present moment, two scholarship programs have already been confirmed.

  1. The Norbert Strauss partial scholarship
    5x per year
Covers €400 of the school fees
  2. The Bad Orb full scholarship
    2x per year
    Covers the entire school fees

Further scholarship programs are currently being developed.

There will be both full and partial scholarships. Depending on the type of scholarship, either all or part of the school fees will be covered by the scholarship. Both scholarship models cover tuition fees up to the 10th grade to the extent indicated.
