Foxes move into the fox den

Enrollment ceremony at ALEA SCHOOL

The first foxes move into the fox den. Principal Pauline Ponti welcomed the 40 students from the two founding years to the Lindenallee campus on August 18. With bright sunshine and culinary delights from TAPATA, the day started with a warm welcome from the ALEA SCHOOL team and the school mascots Amber and Oak.

An exciting day for the ALEA SCHOOL – the school gates opened for the first time. In her welcome speech, Headmistress Pauline Ponti reviewed the past year: The founding of the school, the admissions process, the completion of the campus, exciting get-to-know-you days and the ALEA SCHOOL Summer Camp. The start of school marks the beginning of a time full of projects and ideas. Cooperation with educational partner Senckenberg and exciting discovery tours would shape the future of the ALEA SCHOOL.

Another highlight: each child was accompanied individually by Amber and Oak into the foxhole. The class teachers greeted them with a personalized college jacket as a sign of community. The first class photos and a large group photo marked the start at the ALEA SCHOOL.

Afterwards, the 40 Schlaufüchse and their teachers moved into the new school building. There they started their new everyday life together. The Schlaufüchse and their parents were able to experience what school tastes like at ALEA during a joint lunch at TAPATA. The school chef gave a taste of the ALEA SCHOOL canteen food.

The ALEA SCHOOL CLUBS were also presented: in the afternoon, pupils have the opportunity to pursue hobbies and talents in voluntary working groups. Whether riding, creativity, sport or music – there is something for everyone here. Subjects in the curriculum such as “ALEA Out Loud” and “Social Emotional Learning” promote practical media skills, sustainability and social skills.

Pauline Ponti and her team were excited about the upcoming week of getting to know each other and their time together. Follow the Fox: Interested foxes can now apply for the 2026/2027 school year!

Scholarship framework conditions

In principle, anyone can apply for a scholarship. The award committee will take various criteria into account when selecting the scholarship holders: First and foremost, the economic eligibility of an applicant family. This is based on the average household income (approx. €70,000) in the Main-Kinzig district and the applicant confirms that they have a lower household income. Voluntary commitment, special achievements or a particularly convincing application are also taken into account.

When applying for a scholarship, applicants must provide basic information, a letter of motivation and a letter of recommendation from a (class) teacher. After submission, the awarding committee will review the application and contact the applicants regarding the next steps.

At the present moment, two scholarship programs have already been confirmed.

  1. The Norbert Strauss partial scholarship
    5x per year
Covers €400 of the school fees
  2. The Bad Orb full scholarship
    2x per year
    Covers the entire school fees

Further scholarship programs are currently being developed.

There will be both full and partial scholarships. Depending on the type of scholarship, either all or part of the school fees will be covered by the scholarship. Both scholarship models cover tuition fees up to the 10th grade to the extent indicated.
