The motto of ALEA SCHOOL: “Inspired for life”! ALEA SCHOOL is a place where children laugh and learn – surrounded by the rich nature of the Spessart region, with the wonders of flora and fauna right outside the classroom window and the Woodpecker Forest close by for excursions: a learning environment where curiosity and thirst for knowledge flourish, and where strong roots can grow into the soil of personality. This approach shapes the bilingual curriculum – with project-based learning, we empower students to grow by tackling real-world, complex tasks. ALEA clever foxes also have exciting experiences at the extracurricular ALEA SCHOOL clubs: horseback riding, golf, botany, music or yoga – ALEA SCHOOL inspires for life.
"At ALEA SCHOOL, global citizens will grow up learning to take on social and environmental responsibility. Our world needs this more than ever."

Our Philosophy
Understanding needs communication
ALEA SCHOOL is a school with an international profile. The core is the bilingual curriculum. ALEA SCHOOL also aims to teach communication skills beyond the classroom. Because understanding requires communication. In order to learn to understand the world and fellow human beings, ALEA School teaches an attitude that goes beyond linguistic skills. Through shared experiences, interaction and experiencing nature together, ALEA students develop a deep connection between themselves and the world, feel a sense of belonging - and are thus able to mature as individuals and take responsibility for themselves and their environment. more
COSMOPOLITANISM AND ATTITUDE TOWARDS NATURE
In the spirit of cosmopolitanism, young people should be educated to become global citizens and socially committed individuals - treating others with respect, regardless of their origin, is central to this. Understanding requires a common language, common values and shared experiences. In addition, the attitude towards nature shapes life and teaching at ALEA SCHOOL. The aim is to teach people how to treat resources and the world around us - especially its botanical heritage - in a conscious manner. more
the power of the small
ALEA SCHOOL is growing and thriving. The ALEA teaching staff will begin teaching the first two classes of grades 5 and 6 in the 2025/2026 school year. The two founding classes lay the foundation for the school community at the temporary Lindenallee campus - and obtain their IB Diploma at ALEA in the early 2030s. Until then, the student body will grow to a maximum of around 200 students due to the annual addition of a fifth class. The manageable number of students is part of the school's educational concept: The ALEA teaching staff wants to support each student individually in their learning progress and give space for ideas and impulses. From the mid-2030s onwards, there will be further scope for cautious growth. more
At ALEA SCHOOL, learning is experienced in the mind and with all the senses. In our design course ALEA OUT LOUD (AOL), our students have literally become loud in order to share their vision of school with the world.
The goal? An authentic promotional video by children for children that gives future smart alecks a real insight into our everyday school life – directly and honestly.
From the initial idea to “Action!”
Supported by a real film expert, the children went through the entire process of creating a digital product. It quickly became clear that:
A video is much more than just pressing the record button. Our students
took on all the roles that a real set has to offer:
The journey is the destination

After filming, we evaluated the project together. What worked well? hat could we do even better? It was particularly important to us that it didn’t have to be perfect. We see learning as a lifelong process. With this project, our children took their first courageous step into the world of film. They learned to work in a team, use criticism constructively, and be proud of their own work.
The result is fantastically authentic—an insight into ALEA SCHOOL that only children can provide. We are proud of our young filmmakers and look forward to welcoming the next clever foxes to our school!

In principle, anyone can apply for a scholarship. The award committee will take various criteria into account when selecting the scholarship holders: First and foremost, the economic eligibility of an applicant family. This is based on the average household income (approx. €70,000) in the Main-Kinzig district and the applicant confirms that they have a lower household income. Voluntary commitment, special achievements or a particularly convincing application are also taken into account.
When applying for a scholarship, applicants must provide basic information, a letter of motivation and a letter of recommendation from a (class) teacher. After submission, the awarding committee will review the application and contact the applicants regarding the next steps.
At the present moment, two scholarship programs have already been confirmed.
Further scholarship programs are currently being developed.
There will be both full and partial scholarships. Depending on the type of scholarship, either all or part of the school fees will be covered by the scholarship. Both scholarship models cover tuition fees up to the 10th grade to the extent indicated.
