Individual support

Differentiation as our pedagogical principle

We focus on individual support: we identify each child's strengths and areas for development and offer tailored support and targeted challenges - so that learning is fun and every child can reach their full potential.

support classes

Our support classes are tailored to the needs of the students and are offered in the subjects German (including dyslexia), English and Science. Classes take place in the morning during hour 0 (7:30-8:15 a.m.), as concentration is highest at this time.

After a careful initial diagnosis – about two weeks before the fall break – the teachers discuss in a pedagogical conference which children should receive which support or targeted encouragement (e.g. talent development). Participation is communicated transparently to families.
Support classes are conducted by the respective subject teachers and are based on the content of regular lessons. Repetition, practice, and individual adaptation are the main focus.
The afternoon hours are deliberately free of compulsory support classes so that the children have time for their hobbies, clubs and passions. This allows the focus in the afternoon to remain on self-directed learning and personal development.

Individual Studies (IS)

In the 8th hour in the afternoon, we offer our optional “Individual Studies” program. Unlike traditional homework assistance, the focus here is not on subject-specific answers, but on independent learning.

Teachers or teaching assistants accompany the children as learning coaches, supporting them with homework, test preparation, project planning and prioritization. The aim is to strengthen the self-organization and personal responsibility of the students in the long term. If required, this offer can also be used in the 9th and 10th hour parallel to the clubs.

Scholarship framework conditions

In principle, anyone can apply for a scholarship. The award committee will take various criteria into account when selecting the scholarship holders: First and foremost, the economic eligibility of an applicant family. This is based on the average household income (approx. €70,000) in the Main-Kinzig district and the applicant confirms that they have a lower household income. Voluntary commitment, special achievements or a particularly convincing application are also taken into account.

When applying for a scholarship, applicants must provide basic information, a letter of motivation and a letter of recommendation from a (class) teacher. After submission, the awarding committee will review the application and contact the applicants regarding the next steps.

At the present moment, two scholarship programs have already been confirmed.

  1. The Norbert Strauss partial scholarship
    5x per year
Covers €400 of the school fees
  2. The Bad Orb full scholarship
    2x per year
    Covers the entire school fees

Further scholarship programs are currently being developed.

There will be both full and partial scholarships. Depending on the type of scholarship, either all or part of the school fees will be covered by the scholarship. Both scholarship models cover tuition fees up to the 10th grade to the extent indicated.
