ALEA SCHOOL

Campus

The extended campus

ALEA PARK

Green oasis, family leisure destination, health hotspot and botanical meeting place. Numerous sports and outdoor activities are springing up around ALEA PARK, such as the new padel tennis court and the mini golf course at TAPATA. The new BALNOVA bathhouse and diagnostics center takes Bad Orb to the next level as a medical destination. ALEA SCHOOL complements the location initiative with the fundamental infrastructural component of education.

Campus Lindenallee

Spotting the wonders of the Spessart from the classroom window, laughing and learning in the middle of the green spa district: the Lindenallee campus is the ideal place for a spirit of discovery and curiosity. By the 2025/2026 academic year, the two founding cohorts will have moved into the temporary campus and filled it with life. The Lindenallee campus blends in with the forward-looking ALEA architecture - nature and botany play an important role: wooden façade, surrounded by trees and grasses and plenty of light through generously planned windows.

FINAL FOXHOE BEFORE CONSTRUCTION BEGINS

FIRST GLIMPSES OF
THE CAMPUS PARKALLEE

The ALEA SCHOOL founding campus Lindenallee was inaugurated at the beginning of July, and since the start of school in mid-August, the first two Schlaufuchs classes have been filling the school building with life. At the same time, plans are underway for the final Fuchsbau – the Campus Parkallee – on Kurparkstraße. The building complex, including outdoor facilities, will offer approximately 16,000 m² of space for 200 ALEA Schlaufüchse in the future.

The campus architecture reflects the educational concept of ALEA SCHOOL, which is closely aligned with the IB (International Baccalaureate) standard and places great emphasis on developing students with strong academic, social, and emotional skills. In keeping with the school motto “Inspired for Life,” there will be a dōjō, which in Japanese tradition is the place where martial arts from karate to aikido are taught. This means that ALEA students can achieve the highest dan grade in karate—the black belt—as part of their everyday school life.

Natural history and botany are central themes at ALEA SCHOOL – they also shape the architectural appearance of the future campus. n the Azalea House—a solitary building in the campus ensemble on Kurparkstraße that will also be accessible to visitors—the blooms of azaleas and orchids will be visible to passersby thanks to generous glass fronts. Part of the Azalea House is Kersy's Blumencafé—the flower shop is also a café and serves, among other things, as a waiting area for parents and guests of the school.

The Dinotorium is an auditorium, lecture hall, theater, and on special occasions, a cinema for premiere screenings. This is where the student parliament meets, and weekly student assemblies are held in the Dinotorium – in the future, graduation ceremonies will also take place there.

5 | Dōjō

6 | Palmenhaus

According to Japanese tradition, a dōjō is a sacred place where martial arts from karate to aikido are taught. This means that ALEA students can achieve the highest dan grade in karate – the black belt – during their everyday school life. In Zen Buddhism, the meditation room is also referred to as a dōjō – and this aspect is also incorporated into everyday school life at ALEA.

The dream of the Orber Palmengarten is coming true: in close collaboration with experts from the original Frankfurt location, the palm house is being designed in the center of the Campus Parkallee.

Scholarship framework conditions

In principle, anyone can apply for a scholarship. The award committee will take various criteria into account when selecting the scholarship holders: First and foremost, the economic eligibility of an applicant family. This is based on the average household income (approx. €70,000) in the Main-Kinzig district and the applicant confirms that they have a lower household income. Voluntary commitment, special achievements or a particularly convincing application are also taken into account.

When applying for a scholarship, applicants must provide basic information, a letter of motivation and a letter of recommendation from a (class) teacher. After submission, the awarding committee will review the application and contact the applicants regarding the next steps.

At the present moment, two scholarship programs have already been confirmed.

  1. The Norbert Strauss partial scholarship
    5x per year
Covers €400 of the school fees
  2. The Bad Orb full scholarship
    2x per year
    Covers the entire school fees

Further scholarship programs are currently being developed.

There will be both full and partial scholarships. Depending on the type of scholarship, either all or part of the school fees will be covered by the scholarship. Both scholarship models cover tuition fees up to the 10th grade to the extent indicated.
